The new director of the GPL met with focus groups and refined a new mission statement for the library, which means a new logo to go along with the new branding — the Heart of the Community. We went with the easily recognizable icon of a book and selected colors to represent each of the branches/main departments. A secondary design (more focused on the heart) will be used for special programs. The library is near and dear to me, so I was glad to get to work on the new design!
